Why Enroll in TaeKwonDo?

5 Benefits of Taekwondo

Due to setting goals and positive encouragement, martial arts can enhance your physical and psychological confidence. Martial arts lets you become comfortable in all situations, whether you’re in danger or merely trying to conquer a task that is beyond your comfort zone. Martial arts it easier for you to take that step forward to accomplish anything you set your mind to.

Improved Coordination

As a martial artist, you will learn how to enhance your body’s balance and coordination to its fullest potential. Learning self-defense techniques, one will gain fast hand – eye – foot coordination. Martial arts not only exemplify your reflexes in your training but also in all activities of your everyday life.

Improved Cardiovascular Health

Research has found that by participating in activities that increase the heart rate, such as martial arts, your resting heart rate improves and enhances blood flow to various parts of the body.   Heart disease is one of the most effective killers in our society today and by teaching children to exercise early in their lives, we are helping them establish an exercise regimen that will hopefully stay with them throughout their adult lives.

Heighten your Lifestyle

Due to the total body nature of martial arts, one can burn up to 500 calories during a moderate intensity class; but there are so many more benefits other than physical exercise.  Martial arts allows you to continue to build a strong body and mind.  It helps improve concentration, stamina, flexibility, restraint, muscle tone, and strength.  It is an exercise program for the body AND the mind!

Stress Relief & Discipline

Martial arts teaches you how to punch, kick, and yell, which are key ingredients for relieving stress. Martial arts teaches to not speed things up but to slow them down and take things one step at a time. It teaches you how to control your emotions and impulses.

Bring out the positive qualities that have always been part of you! Develop confidence, patience, self-discipline, inner calm, and a steadily positive mental attitude.

Taekwondo can help overcome self-doubt, fear, anger, laziness, and bad habits. Overcoming these hitches takes dedicated training, and most of a great platform.

Lakeview Creative Arts offers tailored levels of taekwondo classes, visualization and instruction that is ideal for self-development by exercising your mind and body.

At what age do you allow children to begin karate lessons? I tried to check this website for a schedule, but there was not one available. Can you send it to me?

Melissa, I will definitely update the schedule for karate classes – thanks! We begin at age 4 for karate. Looking forward to hearing from you!
